Der Kentucky Saddler ist eine mittelgroße Riding-Pferderasse in Red Dead Redemption 2. Er hat einen ruhigen Gang und Standard-Handling, was ihm eine mäßige Reaktionsfähigkeit und Wendigkeit verleiht. Seine Gesundheit ist besser als seine Geschwindigkeit, Beschleunigung und Ausdauer, und insgesamt ist er ein preiswertes, häufig vorkommendes Pferd mit eher bescheidenen Werten.
Kentucky Saddlers erscheinen in der Wildnis als vorübergehende Pferde. Wilde Exemplare sind rund um Wapiti Indian Reservation und Donner Falls in Ambarino, nahe Braithwaite Manor und außerhalb von Rhodes in Lemoyne, bei Cattail Pond in Grizzlies West sowie entlang des Little Creek River oberhalb von Big Valley zu finden. Sie kommen auch in der Umgebung von Tall Trees, Great Plains und Lake Don Julio vor.
Die Rasse wird als Reitpferd eingesetzt, insbesondere für kurze Reisen, nicht wegen außergewöhnlicher Geschwindigkeit oder Beschleunigung. Zu ihren regulären Fellfarben zählen Black, Chestnut Pinto, Buttermilk Buckskin, Silver Bay und Gray. Uncle reitet 1899 die Sabino Kentucky Saddler Nell II, die im Lager der Gang bleibt.
Wissenswertes
- ◆The Black Kentucky Saddler has a blaze and four socks based off a photo of a real horse. Unlike the reference, however, the skin-to-fur transition is poorly done and numerous pink texture artifacts can be seen on the face when viewed close up.
- ◆The Chestnut Pinto is a tobiano also based off a photo of a real horse, albeit with more creative liberties taken with the markings and a more vibrant shade of orange and white being used. Like the reference, there are four socks in addition to a star and snip. Unlike the reference, however, the mane and tail is not sun-bleached.
- ◆The Buttermilk Buckskin has a stripe and snip in addition to silver-colored legs despite not carrying the silver gene.
- ◆The Silver Bay features a star, snip, and a very lightly sun-bleached mane and tail.
- ◆The Gray has a star and stripe. This horse shares a texture with roans despite not being a roan, leading to the face and neck being differently colored than the rest of the body.
- ◆The Sabino is a chestnut base sabino overo with four socks and a bald face.
- ◆The Black Kentucky Saddler (broken model) shares colors and markings with the Black Norfolk Roadster, featuring the same snip, four socks, and white marks on the body.
- ◆The Dapple Rose Gray Bay shares markings with the Dapple Rose Grey Kladruber, featuring the same two socks. Unlike the Kladruber, however, the purple hue is far more unrealistically vibrant, likely indicating that this is an earlier version.
