Über diese Waffe

• ◆The Carcano Rifle is based on the Carcano M91/38 Short Rifle.
• ◆The Carcano M91/38 is anachronistic as the in-game model was not manufactured until 1938. However, the in-game model has the rear sight of the M91 Long Rifle, which would be more period accurate.
• ◆Unlike the real-world Carcano rifle, the en bloc clip inserted into the rifle does not eject from the bottom after the fifth shot, though the hole on the magazine for that to happen, is modelled into the weapon.
• ◆The Carcano M91/38 Short Rifle gained infamy for being the gun that was used to assassinate President John F. Kennedy.
• ◆The Valentine gunsmith incorrectly pronounces its name as "Car-sa-no".
• ◆It is one of three rifles that the player must look down the sights of regardless of what camera mode you're using (and if you're in first-person, regardless of whether you have iron sights activated), with the Rolling Block Rifle and the Rare Rolling Block Rifle being the others.
• ◆Through a glitch, the player can dismount the scope of the Carcano rifle, bypassing the limitation. The Carcano rifle is fully functional in first and third person. In the iron sight configuration, the Carcano is a straight upgrade from the Bolt Action Rifle in most parts; not only does the Carcano rifle have better overall stats, it also reloads all round simultaneously.
• ◆One of the major flaws of the scopeless carcano rifle has compared to the bolt-action rifle is the use of dead eye. Because the scope is never supposed to be unequipped, the player can't tag targets in deadeye like the latter.
• ◆In the Overall section (considering the average of its stats and comparing it to other weapons), the Carcano Rifle is the best weapon in the game, both in Story Mode and Online, although it only can be used for unique scenarios where distance matters. Therefore, the dismounting scope glitch can be used to solve that manner, making it useful for any shooting range.
