About

What outlawdb is, who makes it, and where every figure on it comes from.

What this is

outlawdb is a reference database for Rockstar games. It covers Grand Theft Auto V, Grand Theft Auto VI, Red Dead Redemption 2, Red Dead Redemption โ€” every mission, vehicle, weapon, character and collectible we have been able to verify, in one place, with the numbers attached.

It exists because the information is scattered. Answering โ€œwhich car is fastest and what does it costโ€ usually means three tabs, two of which are wrong. Here it is one table you can sort.

Where the data comes from

Game facts are derived from GTA Wiki and Red Dead Wiki, used under CC BY-SA. Every section page names its own source at the bottom, because they are not all the same: some figures are cross-checked against independent public listings, and a few are our own compilation, which those pages say plainly.

Screenshots and artwork are used to identify the thing being described. No Rockstar game assets, text or code are redistributed here.

Who maintains it

outlawdb is compiled, written and corrected by the people behind outlawdb โ€” a small operation, not a wiki with open editing. No byline is claimed for it until there is a real one to claim, because a name invented to fill a field is worth less than none.

Reaching us takes one step: the contact page. Corrections are usually checked within a few days, and every change to the data is published in the changes feed whether or not anyone asked for it.

How a figure gets here

โ€œVerifiedโ€ on this site means a specific thing, and it is not the same for every number:

  • Wiki-derived. Most game facts start at GTA Wiki and Red Dead Wiki under CC BY-SA. They are reformatted and normalised, not rewritten from memory.
  • Cross-checked. Where an independent public listing exists โ€” cheat codes and completion weights, for instance โ€” the figure is compared against it, and the pages that do this name the second source.
  • Our own compilation. A few tables exist nowhere else: hobby instalment rosters, the completion weighting, business payback periods. These are derived here from the underlying data, and those pages say so plainly rather than implying a source.
  • Computed, never stored. Anything with a formula behind it โ€” payback periods, income per hour โ€” is recalculated from its inputs on every render, so it cannot drift from the prices it depends on.

Where sources disagree, the page shows the figure we can support and says which source it came from; it does not silently average them. Nothing here is generated by a language model except the translations, which are machine-translated from English and have not yet had a native review โ€” that is why the non-English pages carry the English legal text.

Corrections

A reference site is only worth the errors it fixes. If a figure is wrong, a row is missing, or something is attributed badly, tell us on the contact page and it gets checked against the source.
