- ◆Shelby seems to know a bit of Spanish as he will speak in Spanish when dropping off and picking passengers in Nuevo Paraíso. However, given the fact he is the engineer of both American and Mexican lines, this is understandable.

- ◆Shelby shares a head model with Clyde Garrison, Ralph Bagley, Nathanial Johnston, Harvey Skaggs, Tripp Lockley, Trent Oxley, Barney Nugent, Lawrence Baxter.
- ◆There are technically two Shelbys in the game; one operates the red train non-stop and the other the blue one. If the two trains happen to cross paths and wait for each other to move, like before the red train stops at the MacFarlane's Ranch's train station, the player can see the same Shelby operating the blue train line as well.
