◆Rufus appears to share the same character head with Solomon Flake, Milton Riggs and Emerson Lang.
◆In Undead Nightmare, Emerson will say that he and Rufus are brothers which could be possible based on their appearance, although they have different surnames, so it is possible they are actually half-brothers.
◆It is possible that Rufus is related to Josephine Byrd as well, who is buried at Coot's Chapel, and is temporarily exhumed by Seth.
◆Rufus also mentions that the player killed his father when challenging them to a duel, implying he has a large family.
◆Rufus will never become hostile unless in a duel. If a gun is drawn on him, he will flee the area.
◆He wears a holster only when he is challenging Marston to a duel.
