• ◆Due to the entire mission consisting of a single cutscene (as in "Lost and Not Quite Found"), the mission cannot be replayed via the pause menu. Unlike that mission, however, the name of this mission at least appears onscreen.
• ◆When Abigail arrives at the house two blue jays can be spotted sitting together on a barrel in front of the house. This is likely a call-back to the house-building sequence during the mission "A New Jerusalem": During this mission a single blue jay can be seen repeatedly, perched on construction material, observing John as he builds his farmhouse.
• ◆According to the entry on "Blue Jay Symbolism & meaning" by Garth Clifford in the compendium "World Birds" there are a great number of symbolic meanings that are often attributed to blue jays. Among other things blue jays can symbolize loyalty and trust, protection and fearlessness, they can be a reminder to plan and/or prepare for the future, and an encouragement to know one's limitation and back off when needed. Blue jays are also often regarded as a call "to invest yourself in your family" and "stop diverting your energy into areas other than your family", which would be in line with John Marston at the point in the game when "The Best of Women" takes place, as he now once again gets the chance to be a family man. As a totem the bird can represent a protection against someone, who wants to hurt a person or his/her family. In Christianity the belief is widespread, that a blue jay in one's home or yard is a sign of "good things to come", which the situation that John finds himself in during this mission may represent the happy reunion of the Marston family and/or their happy life together for the next four years. Furthermore the bird can be a call "to be persistent and to fight no matter how hard a given situation may seem", which seems to be applicable to John's situation both during the end of the second epilogue of Red Dead Redemption 2 and his situation in the future (Red Dead Redemption 1).
