- ◆His name is frequently mispronounced by most characters with the exception of Sean MacGuire and a few O'Driscolls with Irish accents, who pronounce it properly as "Col-om". However, Kieran says that even Colm pronounces his name the way it is spelled, "C-olm". The name Colm is a Gaelic variation of the Latin word for 'dove', columba.
- ◆During an interview, Roger Clark said that as a native Irishman, he was unhappy at having to say Colm O'Driscoll's first name wrong whenever Arthur mentions him, and he tried to get Rockstar Games to use the correct pronunciation, but was unsuccessful, as the Houser brothers insisted on Arthur saying it wrong with the justification that Arthur's an American and would naturally say Colm's name wrong.
- ◆Colm is one of very few characters to appear in multiple cutscenes where the player character is not in his immediate vicinity.
- ◆A real-life Colm O'Driscoll reportedly received hate messages on X.com (formerly Twitter) by Red Dead Redemption II fans, shortly after the game was released.
- ◆In the beta, Colm was one of a few characters to have his own unique horse. This was scrapped in favor of a generic model, as Colm's horse only appears during three short scenes in "Old Friends" and "Blessed are the Peacemakers".
