Shire هو سلالة خيول جر كبيرة الحجم في Red Dead Redemption 2. يتمتع ببنية ضخمة، وشعر كثيف حول أسفل الساقين، وملامح وجه محدبة. وبصفته السلالة الأكبر والأقوى، فهو مهيأ لجر العربات الثقيلة والعربات ذات العجلات والعربات المغلقة.
تستخدم خيول Shire أسلوب تحكم Heavy. يجعلها وزنها وحجمها أقل استجابة ورشاقة من خيول الركوب، كما يصعب توجيهها. تتمتع عموما بصحة وقدرة تحمل أكبر لأعمال الجر، لكنها تتنازل عن السرعة والتسارع لصالح خيول الركوب. وضمن فئة Draft، تعتبر من الخيول المتوسطة إلى الأدنى مستوى.
تظهر السلالة بألوان Dark Bay وLight Grey وRaven Black. يجب سرقة معظم خيول Shire من مالكيها. يمكن الحصول على Shire بلون Raven Black خلال القصة، ولا يركب Arthur سوى حصان واحد بهذا اللون.

- ◆At the beginning of "Exit Pursued by a Bruised Ego", Arthur Morgan is tasked to take Hosea Matthews' stolen Raven Black Shire to the stables in Valentine. At the stable, the player may choose to either sell or stable him. If they do not have a version with the War Horse or the Reverse Dapple Black Thoroughbred, keeping him is suggested as he cannot be obtained elsewhere and has slightly above average stats.
- ◆The Dark Bay has four socks and a blaze, also appearing to exhibit heavy sooty characteristics throughout the body.
- ◆The Light Grey is a nearly fully depigmented greying horse with four socks and a snip.
- ◆The Raven Black is the same color as any other black horse in the game, featuring a large blaze.
