Maibatsu Corporation

Maibatsu Corporation is a Japanese multinational conglomerate traded on BAWSAQ as MAI. It is best known for making vehicles, though its products also include electronics and cruise missiles. In the HD Universe, the company remains active. Its vehicle range changes across its appearances, while its name also appears on other products and industrial sites in the cities where it operates.

In GTA IV, Maibatsu manufactures the Mule truck, Sanchez dirtbike and Vincent sedan. WKTT Talk Radio also refers to the Monstrosity SUV, a model inherited from the company's earlier counterpart, although it is neither seen nor described in the game. In GTA Chinatown Wars, the company has no notable presence beyond the Sanchez dirtbike, which remains part of its vehicle output.

In GTA V, Maibatsu adds the Penumbra coupe and Frogger helicopter to a range that still includes the Mule and Sanchez. Its logo appears on solar panels around Los Santos. Maibatsu Motors Inc. operates a factory at Vespucci Boulevard and Supply Street in East Los Santos, linking the company to a named industrial location in San Andreas.

In GTA Online's After Hours update, English Dave mentions Maibatsus while Solomun is being collected. He calls them party pills from the 1990s and says they made him "chuck it". The reference uses the Maibatsu name for a drug brand, rather than for one of the conglomerate's vehicles or industrial products.
