Zirconium

Zirconium is an American automotive manufacturer. Its name and logo suggest exotic styling paired with cheap construction, drawing on zirconium's use in inexpensive imitation materials. The company is associated with three vehicles: the Stratum, a four-door station wagon, and the Journey and Journey II motorhomes.

The Stratum has Japanese-influenced styling and a name that recalls the Saturn brand. Zirconium's identity is also linked to American manufacturers and joint ventures associated with Chrysler, including AMC, Eagle and Diamond-Star Motors. These associations frame the marque as a maker of ordinary vehicles presented with more aspirational branding.

By 2008, Zirconium appears to be based at the Zirconium Building in Liberty City, Liberty. The building is modelled after Chrysler's headquarters, although Schyster fills Chrysler's role in the HD Universe. In police-scanner audio, the manufacturer's name is misspelled and pronounced as "Zireonium".
