Its name first appears in September 2022 leaked material on a highway sign along Interstate 97. The sign directs traffic to Belville through Exit 13A, which connects to State Route 10.

Exit 13A is also said to lead to Ekanfinaka, placing Belville near that Vice City neighborhood. The material does not confirm whether Belville appears in Rockstar's public trailers, screenshots or Extended Look.
