The store first appears in material from the September 2022 GTA VI leaks. That material shows Treasured Trash on State Route 61 in Hamlet, opposite the deteriorated LTD Gasoline station. No further details about the shop's interior, staff or services are stated in the supplied material.
The building is based on Ages Ago Antiques, a real antique shop that formerly stood in Micanopy, Florida. Ages Ago Antiques was demolished around 2018. A Dollar General branch later occupied the site, opening one year after the demolition.
