Maverick

The Maverick is a four-seat helicopter built by Western Company in Grand Theft Auto IV and by Buckingham in Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online. In GTA IV, it has a tall fuselage, a four-blade main rotor and short skids. Its rear sliding doors remain open, leaving rear passengers seated at the edge of the cabin. The cockpit contains a compact instrument panel and dual controls, although the left front occupant flies it.

Grand Theft Auto V retains the GTA IV airframe but changes the main and tail rotors to two blades. Larger skids with steps replace the earlier set, and dividers appear in the cockpit-door windows. A nose camera and two winches are fitted to the helicopter. It carries permanent silver "MAVERICK" lettering on the engine compartment, while its paint can be changed as a single primary colour. In GTA Online, the Maverick costs $780,000 through Elitás Travel.

The Maverick is due to return in Grand Theft Auto VI. Early promotional appearances show a version close to its GTA IV form, now with a camera on the front of its nose. Later material shows a more extensively revised helicopter whose shape moves closer to the Bell 206 design. No further specifications, availability or use for the Maverick in Grand Theft Auto VI have been publicly stated.
