Knife

The Knife is a melee weapon in the Blade category that is due to appear in Grand Theft Auto VI. The available material establishes its planned presence, weapon class and type, but does not state a GTA VI model, manufacturer, acquisition method or combat behavior. No publicly described mission, character or location is connected to the weapon's appearance in the unreleased game.

Earlier games do not keep one fixed design for Knife. GTA Vice City presents it as a large blade. GTA San Andreas and GTA Liberty City Stories give it a different form, while GTA Vice City Stories uses a more modern-looking construction and blade shape. GTA IV changes the design again: its serrated blade resembles the knife featured in the film Rambo, though its cross guard is shorter.

GTA V and GTA Online retain a version close to the GTA IV weapon, with altered serrations and a green cord-wrapped grip. It is stated to have a seven-inch blade. At close range, characters can use Knife for stealth attacks that stab targets in the neck. Blood can remain on the blade, and the weapon can also be used underwater against sharks.
