Seagulls

Seagulls are birds found in Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online. They fly over coastal areas, including Vespucci Beach, and sometimes settle on the ground or on buildings. When a person comes close, they take flight. They are part of the wider bird population rather than animals that must be located or eliminated.

In the enhanced versions of Grand Theft Auto V, consuming a Peyote Plant can place the player in a hallucination as a random bird, which may be a seagull. Peyote Plants added to Grand Theft Auto Online through the continuation of The Diamond Casino & Resort update can also turn the player into a seagull.

Earlier games use seagulls differently. In 3D Universe titles, they appear as animated sprites that can be shot with a Sniper Rifle, with kills recorded under "Seagulls Sniped" after the first one. Episodes from Liberty City makes them collectibles, placing 50 in each episode and awarding a special vehicle once every seagull has been killed.
