- โDuring "Exodus in America", Marston rides a Painted Standardbred to Fort Mercer, making this the first horse that the player rides.
- โVery rarely, a glitch will occur on the Xbox and PS3 versions of the game, where on a clean startup of the game, all horses will appear this horse's color and after a couple seconds will return to their normal colors.
- โThe Dead Horse model appears to be based on the Painted Standardbred.
- โIn the mission "We Shall be Together in Paradise" a special variant of the Painted Standardbred exists specifically for the ending cutscene; this variant has male features which are never used on horses outside of this one scene and is swapped out immediately after the cutscene ends.
