- โThe cheat code "The root of all evil, we thank you!" can be found scrawled on the wall inside the mine tunnel.
- โThis location will not appear before the player has purchased and used the Punta Orgullo map.
- โOccasionally, only one chest will appear in the far end of the mine; and the other will not appear again. This is assumed to be a glitch.
- โAccording to a campfire tale, Plata Grande was once a prosperous silver mine owned by wealthy investors, who forced the workers to dig deeper into the mine. One day, without warning, the mine collapsed, killing all the workers inside in the process. Local rumor says that people still hear the workersโ screams.
