Ariel

Ariel is a black, medium-sized Race horse in Red Dead Redemption 2. She has grey hooves and brown eyes, and her Race handling suits the speed contests in which she appears. Her speed and acceleration are both rated at four, while her health and stamina are rated at three. She is owned by an unnamed man who has trained her stamina for racing and regards her as his pride and joy.

Ariel and her owner can be encountered at select locations near Ambarino. The man rides up to the player and proposes a race against Ariel. If the challenge is accepted, he and Ariel race the player to the agreed destination. The encounter uses Ariel as the opposing horse in a spontaneous roadside race rather than as a horse available for purchase or regular riding.

After the first race, Ariel's owner rides away whether she wins or loses. He reacts with delight when Ariel wins, but is disappointed with her when she is beaten. Ariel and the man can later appear again near Ambarino, where he offers another race under the same terms before riding off once more.
