Maybelle Elizabeth Colter, conocida como Black Belle, es una forajida y antigua integrante de la banda de Colter Tobin. Tras cometer su primer atraco en Rhodes, se hace famosa como pistolera y se convierte en la única superviviente de la banda. Arthur Morgan busca a Black Belle en Canebreak Manor, en Bluewater Marsh, mientras reúne testimonios para el libro de Theodore Levin sobre Calloway. Belle confunde a Arthur con un cazarrecompensas, pero acepta hablar cuando hayan acabado con otro grupo de perseguidores. Hace que Arthur active explosivos bajo un hombre que se acerca con su cartel de busca y captura, y después lucha con él para defender la casa de los demás, incluido un hombre con una ametralladora. Al terminar, Belle llama cobarde a Calloway, afirma que huía de los combates e inventaba relatos para los periódicos. Arthur la fotografía con su rifle y ella se aleja de Canebreak Manor a caballo.
En Red Dead Online, Black Belle se encuentra en Old Harry Fen, en Scarlett Meadows. Al principio amenaza con dinamita al fugitivo de Sisika Penitentiary, pero comprende que busca trabajo y no cobrar su recompensa. Le encarga rescatar de Rhodes a unos hombres de su banda antes de que los ahorquen, con la promesa de pagarle a su regreso. Curiosidades
- ◆Black Belle was likely based on famed outlaw Belle Starr, nicknamed "The Bandit Queen" while active in Oklahoma and Missouri. Her attire also heavily resembles the clothing Starr was known to wear. She also shares traits with other famous western figures, such as sharpshooter Annie Oakley and frontierswoman Calamity Jane.
- ◆Ironically, despite Black Belle surviving her encounter with the player while her fellow gunslingers were shot dead, Starr was murdered in 1889.
- ◆Black Belle is the only legendary gunslinger who the player meets that will be willingly interviewed by the player. As a result, she does not have a unique weapon that the player can acquire. She's also the only gunslinger in the mission to survive the events.
- ◆She is also the only gunslinger to not use a unique sidearm in "The Noblest of Men, and a Woman", instead using a standard black and gold Lancaster Repeater. It can be dropped by her if one of the bounty hunters manages to reach Black Belle and melee her into dropping it. Since it is not a unique weapon, it does not have a Compendium page.
- ◆A random camper claims to have met her in the city of Tucson, Arizona. There, Black Belle allegedly shared an anecdote about one of her many confrontations with bounty hunters. The camper also makes a comment on Belle's status as a celebrity amongst other gunslingers of the American West, even mentioning the cigarette card depicting Black Belle at one point in the conversation.
- ◆During her mission, the poster held up by one of the bounty hunters actually depicts a cut bounty target named Doc Wormwood. An otherwise unused graphic for her actual poster can be found in the Bounty Hunter camp theme in Red Dead Online; with it having been marked out in red.
- ◆Following Black Belle's departure, the player can enter her now empty home. The interior is extremely messy, and there are some objects like canned goods which the player can take.
