Seamus trabaja como capataz de Emerald Ranch, en The Heartlands, New Hanover, donde controla los negocios turbios del rancho y comercia con carretas robadas. También mantiene una tienda de receptación para objetos de valor. Apenas pregunta de dónde proceden las mercancías, pero oculta el negocio de las carretas a "Old Man" Wegner. Desconfiado de los delatores, Seamus solo trata con gente a la que considera fiable. Entre sus contactos figuran Alden Carruthers y Eugene Wegner, y Bob Crawford Sr. es su primo político.
Hosea Matthews lleva a Arthur Morgan a Emerald Ranch y presenta a Seamus como un posible socio. Seamus los toma por aficionados y se niega a hacer negocios con la banda Van der Linde hasta que demuestren lo que valen. Les encarga un trabajo a Hosea y Arthur: robar una diligencia que ha comprado su primo político. Cuando llevan el vehículo a Emerald Ranch, Seamus acepta su trabajo y abre su negocio de carretas para ellos, comprando vehículos robados y otros bienes ilícitos.
Más adelante, Seamus recibe otra diligencia robada después de que Arthur siga un aviso de Alden Carruthers sobre un atraco. Paga por el vehículo en Emerald Ranch. Arthur vuelve a verlo brevemente al entrar en el rancho al comienzo de "He's British, of Course IV". Seamus permanece en Emerald Ranch tras los tratos con la banda y sigue regentando su receptación. En 1907 continúa con el negocio de las carretas, vestido con una camisa amarilla y un bigote de manillar.

- ◆He can be encountered near his fence before the mission "The Spines of America" and can be interacted with.
- ◆As of Patch 1.14, his Fence is missing its table but the candle is still there. This has been fixed with the addition of Patch 1.20.
- ◆A grave is located under a tree at Carmody Dell, possibly belonging to Seamus' cousin.
- ◆It is unclear if he is biologically related to Bob Crawford Jr. since it's unknown if Crawford is the son of Seamus' cousin or another woman.
- ◆Seamus' employer, Eugene Wegner, is seemingly unaware he is running a fencing side business, as evidenced when Seamus says to the player: "not a word to Wegner". Despite this, Seamus will accept the player's carriages even when Wegner is nearby.
- ◆In Red Dead Online, Seamus will not accept any of the player's stolen coaches.
- ◆If the player brings Seamus a vehicle damaged by gunfire he will comment "There a war on I don't know about? How the hell you get it so beat up?" or "The hell you done to this poor thing?".
- ◆Bringing in a single-axle cart, barrel wagon, or other low value vehicle will prompt Seamus to say "Well, ain't this wagon a fresh heap of shit."
- ◆The price paid for stolen wagons & coaches depends on the quality, with larger vehicles being worth more.
- ◆If sold one of Cornwall's oil wagons, the final payout will be $50.00.
- ◆Any damage caused to the vehicles will affect the final payout once the vehicle is delivered to Seamus.
- ◆Seamus' wagon fence is required to complete the 8th Bandit Challenge by selling 7 stolen wagons to him.
- ◆If the player sells the Reutlinger Pocket Watch to Seamus, the latter will make a comment on it.
- ◆Seamus is internally named "Emerald Ranch Son" in the files. Miriam and Eugene Wegner are known as "Emerald Ranch Daughter, and Father" respectively, although no familial relations have been confirmed between Seamus and them. He is also denoted as being young instead of middle-aged.
