Player notes

Seamus works as the foreman at Emerald Ranch in The Heartlands, New Hanover, where he oversees the ranch's schemes and deals in stolen wagons. He also operates a fence for valuables. He asks few questions about goods brought to him, but keeps his wagon business hidden from "Old Man" Wegner. Wary of informers, Seamus restricts his dealings to people he considers dependable. His connections include Alden Carruthers and Eugene Wegner, while Bob Crawford Sr. is his cousin-in-law.

Hosea Matthews brings Arthur Morgan to Emerald Ranch and introduces him to Seamus as a possible partner. Seamus dismisses them as amateurs and refuses to trade with the Van der Linde gang until they prove themselves. He sets Hosea and Arthur a job: they must steal a stagecoach that his cousin-in-law has bought. Once they bring the vehicle to Emerald Ranch, Seamus accepts their work and opens his wagon fence to them, buying stolen wagons and handling other illicit goods.

Seamus later receives another stolen stagecoach after Arthur follows a robbery lead supplied by Alden Carruthers. He pays for the coach at Emerald Ranch. Arthur sees him again briefly when entering the ranch at the start of "He's British, of Course IV". Seamus remains at Emerald Ranch after the gang's dealings there, continuing to run his fence. By 1907, he is still operating the wagon business, now wearing a yellow shirt and a handlebar mustache.

  • โ—†He may own an Australian Shepherd, as one can often be seen near his fence business.
  • โ—†He can be encountered near his fence before the mission "The Spines of America" and can be interacted with.
  • โ—†As of Patch 1.14, his Fence is missing its table but the candle is still there. This has been fixed with the addition of Patch 1.20.
  • โ—†A grave is located under a tree at Carmody Dell, possibly belonging to Seamus' cousin.
  • โ—†It is unclear if he is biologically related to Bob Crawford Jr. since it's unknown if Crawford is the son of Seamus' cousin or another woman.
  • โ—†Seamus' employer, Eugene Wegner, is seemingly unaware he is running a fencing side business, as evidenced when Seamus says to the player: "not a word to Wegner". Despite this, Seamus will accept the player's carriages even when Wegner is nearby.

  • โ—†If the player brings Seamus a vehicle damaged by gunfire he will comment "There a war on I don't know about? How the hell you get it so beat up?" or "The hell you done to this poor thing?".
