Sally Nash

Sally Nash works as Margaret's assistant and animal handler for the Bradley Bros. Circus. A young American woman, she hopes to become an animal wrangler like Margaret, calling herself a future "second bravest woman animal wrangler." Her ambition exceeds her experience with the circus animals, but she remains attached to them and intends to continue learning beside her employer.

During Arthur Morgan's search for Margaret's missing animals, Margaret sends him to Caliga Way to assist Sally. Sally has been looking for the circus's supposed tiger and dispatched its supposed lion after it. She admits that the lion is a dog in a costume, and that it vanished into the brush. Arthur agrees to look for the dog, then finds its body and calls Sally over. She is upset by its death, believing they had gotten along.

Arthur explains that a cougar killed the dog, and Sally reveals that the missing "tiger" is also a cougar. He places the dog's body in Sally's wagon as bait and tells her to hide. They wait together until the cougar climbs into the wagon to feed. Arthur shuts it inside, and Sally asks him to take the wagon back to Margaret's camp. On the journey, she recounts how the animals escaped and speaks of her plan to become a professional animal wrangler.

When Arthur later returns to Margaret's camp for his payment, Sally is cleaning the lion's cage. She hears him tell Margaret that the animal is dead and stops working. Sally leaves with Margaret and the two surviving animals from the circus's original four, saying goodbye to Arthur as they depart.
