Harold Joseph, noto come Stretch, è un membro di alto rango dei Chamberlain Gangster Families a South Los Santos ed ex amico di Franklin Clinton e Lamar Davis. Lamar ammira l'OG appena uscito di prigione, ma Franklin mal sopporta le pretese di rispetto di Stretch e la sua richiesta di una parte dei loro soldi. Alla rimpatriata di Lamar fuori dalla casa della zia di Franklin, Stretch si unisce a loro per un presunto affare con i Ballas presso Rogers Salvage & Scrap. L'incontro è un'imboscata legata al precedente rapimento di D da parte di Lamar. Stretch uccide D quando scopre perché si trovano lì, poi fugge con Franklin e Lamar.

Stretch sostiene che sistemerà le cose con i Ballas, ma organizza un affare di droga a Grove Street concepito per lasciare Lamar truffato ed esposto agli Original Covenant Ballas. Trevor Philips nota la cocaina falsa e trasforma lo scambio in una sparatoria. Franklin accusa poi Stretch di aver organizzato la truffa, ma Stretch nega e attribuisce la colpa alla presenza di Trevor. Quando Franklin inizia a rubare auto per Devin Weston, Stretch chiama anche per pretendere una parte dei guadagni.

In seguito Stretch manda Lamar a un incontro per droga alla Paleto Forest Sawmill, dove i Ballas lo rapiscono. Franklin, Michael De Santa e Trevor assaltano la segheria e riportano Lamar a casa. Franklin dice a Lamar che Stretch li stava incastrando fin dall'imboscata allo sfasciacarrozze, poi avverte Stretch di non mettersi mai più contro di lui. Durante The Third Way, Lamar aiuta Franklin a rintracciare Stretch in una fonderia dei Ballas. Franklin e Lamar si fanno strada combattendo tra i membri della gang e uccidono Stretch all'interno dell'edificio.

Curiosità

◆It is possible to knock Stretch's cap off, and originally he didn't even wear the cap at all. He is only seen wearing his cap in The Long Stretch.
◆His "SA" cap is a hint to his betrayal, as aside from green "SA" graffiti seen around South Los Santos, this logo is only seen on Ballas clothing. This logo appears to be based on the Los Angeles Dodgers logo.
◆The player can have Franklin call Stretch after certain missions. These conversations will initially start off civil before turning into heated arguments over their current situations, while after Lamar Down, they officially break off their friendship because of what Stretch did to Lamar.
◆If he is killed via melee attack in The Third Way, the news reports following his death will still say that Stretch died in a gunfight. This is likely an oversight.
◆It's possible that Stretch's age could be at around his 40s, since in the mission The Long Stretch, Franklin says to Stretch, "Damn, man, I gotta spend my day with another middle-aged fool trying to recapture his youth?". He says this line to Stretch, which he then asks Franklin to rephrase what he just said, clearly implying a disagreement with Franklin's statement knowing that he is older.
◆To further prove this, Franklin's line makes reference to Michael as the "middle-aged fool trying to recapture his youth" as well as Stretch. Michael's age is 48 years old according to his D.O.B. on his tombstone, stating his birth year as 1965.
