◆Farmer MacGuffin's surname is a term used in fiction for a plot device, often taking the form of an item or character, that serves no other purpose than to further the story - in this case, MacGuffin's daughter being the reason for the wholesale slaughter that follows.
◆His first name is not known and neither is his daughter's name.
◆Despite being the owner of the ranch, he is not seen in the "You Shall Not Give False Testimony, Except for Profit" mission.
◆He appears to share a character head with Saul Bundy, Dieter Frommel, Felix Milner, Bud Sullivan, Leonard Bone and Androcles Ott.
◆He also has Peter Turner's body model, but without the bow-tie.
◆His beta name was Edwin Shackleford.
◆Similar to store owners/shopkeepers and other amenity owners, MacGuffin is more of a specific individual than a character type, as he only ever spawns at Ridgewood Farm. However, his works are not.
