تُعد Vapid Tow Truck شاحنة خفيفة خدمية بمقعدين، صُممت كمركبة سحب بخطاف وسلسلة. في Grand Theft Auto V، تحتفظ بالتصميم القديم المستخدم في Towtruck ضمن The Lost and Damned، والذي يشبه هيكلها شاحنة السحب Chevrolet C3100. وهي مزودة بمعدة سحب مخصصة، وأضواء كهرمانية مثبتة على السقف، ولوحات ترخيص في الطرفين. ويظهر هيكلها المتآكل من دون علامات شركة، ضمن نطاق محدود من الألوان الثنائية.

تعمل وصلة السحب الخلفية، ما يتيح لـ Tow Truck ربطها بمركبات أخرى. ويمكن تشغيل أضواء سقفها عبر زر البوق. وهي مزودة بجهاز راديو CB، ويمكن لـ Trevor سماع اتصالات متفرقة لسائقي الشاحنات أثناء قيادتها في Blaine County، حتى عند إيقاف الراديو. تستخدم الشاحنة نظام دفع خلفي، ومحرك V8 أحادي عمود الكامات مزوداً بأربعة مكربنات مزدوجة الفوهة، وناقل حركة بأربع سرعات. وتتشارك نغمة محركها السلسة منخفضة الدورات مع Burrito وPony وSpeedo.

تتسم Tow Truck ببطء تسارعها وبسرعة قصوى منخفضة مقارنة بفئتها، فيما يمنحها تماسكها الضعيف وقوتها المحدودة انزلاقاً بسيطاً للعجلات. ولها نصف قطر انعطاف قصير، لكنها قد تنزلق مؤخرة المركبة، وإن كانت سرعتها المنخفضة تحد من ذلك عادة. خلال مهمة "Tow Truck"، توجد نسخة واحدة بجوار ميكانيكي يصلح سيارته. وبعد مهاجمة الميكانيكي، تُنقل الشاحنة إلى ساحة FIB.

◆It is possible to daisy-chain multiple Tow Trucks together and create long, millipede-like trains of connected vehicles. However, these connections become considerably more unstable the longer the chain stretches.
◆The hood of the Tow Truck will not break off, even when destroyed. This also applies to its van counterpart, the Slamvan.
◆If the Clown horn is installed, the horn will repeat itself until the button is released.
◆Also, when driving the Towtruck to Los Santos Customs, the Clown horn is the only horn available for a preview.
◆There is a grille option for the Slamvan Custom, the Apocalypse Slamvan and the Nightmare Slamvan called "70s Hybrid Grille", which gives these vehicles a similar front end to that of the Towtruck.
◆The equivalent for the Future Shock Slamvan is the "Cross Beam" grille.
◆The equivalents for the Slamtruck are the "Billet Grilles".
