Spieler-Notizen

John Marston findet Mario Alcalde dabei, wie er Eva Cortes vor Casa Madrugada schlägt. Eva ist Marios Prostituierte, und John schreitet ein, bevor der Übergriff weitergeht. Mario willigt nur ein, sie gehen zu lassen, wenn John für ihre Freiheit bezahlt. John gibt ihm das Geld, und Eva dankt ihm, bevor sie Casa Madrugada in Richtung Las Hermanas verlässt.

Nach mehreren Tagen geht John nach Las Hermanas, um sich nach Eva zu erkundigen. In der Kirche erzählt Sister Ana ihm, dass Eva mit einem Mann fortgegangen ist und sie in Richtung Sepulcro unterwegs waren. John folgt der Spur von der Kirche zum Friedhof.

In Sepulcro findet John Mario, der Eva aus einem flachen Grab ausgräbt. Mario beteuert, er habe sie nicht getötet, und behauptet, er habe sie nur geschlagen. John fordert sein Geld zurück und fordert Mario zu einem Duell heraus. Mario zieht zuerst, doch John erschießt ihn und durchsucht dann seinen Körper neben Evas Grab.

Wissenswertes

  • ◆If you walk away at the first encounter, you will fail the mission and have to restart it at a later time. If you kill Mario at the first encounter, the mission will fail. However, Eva and Mario will respawn at the same location several game days later, allowing you to complete the mission.
  • ◆If you pull a gun in the church, the nun may get up and walk away and you will fail the mission.
  • ◆If you aim a weapon at (or kill) Mario in Sepulcro before the cutscene occurs, the mission will fail and you will have to restart it at a later time.
  • ◆If you frighten Eva after buying her freedom (i.e. firing your weapon anywhere) you will fail the mission.
  • ◆Similar to "Water and Honesty" you get your money back, and more, at the end of the mission (only if you pay Clyde Evans).
  • ◆The name of the cemetery in which you confront Mario is called El Sepulcro, a possible reference to Los Sepulcros, the cemetery featured in another Rockstar game, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
