Das Belgian Draft Horse ist ein großes Draft horse in Red Dead Redemption 2. Es verfügt über Heavy handling, wobei Geschwindigkeit, Beschleunigung, Gesundheit und Ausdauer jeweils mit 3 bewertet sind. Belgian Draft Horses haben einen muskulösen Körperbau und ein glänzendes kastanienbraunes Fell, das sich für die Arbeit eignet, die von einer kräftigen Zugpferderasse erwartet wird.
Die Rasse ist mit den Fellfarben Blond Chestnut und Mealy Chestnut vertreten. Beide sind helle, mehlige Füchse mit Blesse, unterscheiden sich jedoch in ihren kastanienbraunen Farbtönen. Das Blond Chestnut hat eine leicht sonnengebleichte Mähne, einen ebensolchen Schweif und Behang, während das Mealy Chestnut dies nicht hat.
Belgians werden meist vor Wagen gefunden, wo ihre Stärke für schwere Karren geeignet ist. Beide Fellvarianten können durch Diebstahl erworben werden. Sie sind groß und langsam, und ihr Gewicht macht sie zu den am wenigsten wendigen Pferden, doch sie haben eine bessere Geschwindigkeit und Ausdauer als andere Draft horses.

- ◆An unused special variation exists of the Belgian Draft that was apparently originally intended to appear dead in Red Dead Online, having been killed by Brother Owlhoot. This horse uses the Breton model despite being labelled as a Belgian Draft in-game when spawned in with cheats. The coat used for this horse is the Mealy Chestnut coat, and the stats are identical to all other Belgian Drafts. It is impossible to ride this horse without the use of cheats or mods, and the horse is replaced with a regular Mealy Chestnut Belgian Draft during the mission that the horse is supposed to appear in, likely due to a developer oversight.
- ◆If you do not want to lose honor by stealing a Belgian Draft horse, there is a way to obtain one without doing so. After you complete the Chapter 3 mission "The Course of True Love" (Part I or Part II), after delivering the letter to Penelope Braithwaite at the Braithwaite Manor gazebo, look near the large tree adjacent to the gazebo. A Mealy Chestnut Belgian Draft will be hitched there and you are able to take it without losing honor or triggering a wanted level.
- ◆Both the Blond and Mealy Belgians are technically the same color- that being a flaxen (also known as 'blond' ) mealy (also known as 'Pangaré) chestnut with a blaze. However, they are different shades of chestnut and while one has a lightly sun-bleached mane, tail, and feathers, the other does not.
