Sumo

Sumo is a Japanese electronics company whose slogan, "The Industry Heavyweight", refers to sumo wrestling. In Grand Theft Auto III, it makes the Sumo Wordman pager used by Claude. Its advertising appears on Staunton Island and Shoreside Vale, while some Yankee trucks carry the Sumo logo. The brand also appears on Benson trucks in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.

In San Andreas, Sumo operates from a building at the LVA Freight Depot in Las Venturas. Its sponsorship stickers appear on Hotring Racers, and Starland Camera Centre on Vinewood Boulevard in Market, Los Santos advertises Sumo cameras. Later appearances include B&J Color TV signs in Alderney and Broker, banners at Benny's Original Motor Works, and Sumo "Ear Bleeds" headphones held by organizations.

Sumo returns in material released for Grand Theft Auto VI. The first trailer shows an outdoor Sumo condenser unit fixed to a building in Stockyard. An official screenshot of Real Dimez' recording studio also includes a black Sumo speaker.
