Benson

The Vapid Benson is a Commercial-class box truck in the HD Universe, built to carry two people. It appears in Grand Theft Auto IV, Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online, and is due to return in Grand Theft Auto VI. Its earlier HD Universe forms are large delivery trucks, used with commercial liveries and as unmarked work vehicles.

The Benson's recorded Grand Theft Auto VI appearance is brief. In a September 2022 leak clip, a dark blue Benson drives past Lucia at an intersection near Cipher Mall in Rockridge, Vice City. The clip shows the truck travelling through the junction, without showing its cargo area, interior or a role beyond passing through.

Earlier versions change between games. In Grand Theft Auto IV, the Benson uses a long bottler-truck body with side shutters, a rear trolley and a loading bay. Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online recast it chiefly as a moving truck, replacing those rear features with a bottom-hinged ramp door. Those earlier designs do not establish the details of the Grand Theft Auto VI vehicle.
