Grassrivers

Grassrivers is a natural region of flooded grasslands in southern Leonida. It extends through Vice-Dale County and Mariana County, forming a wetland landscape associated with the southern surroundings of Vice City. The region takes inspiration from the Everglades. Released material describes broad grassland covered by floodwater, presenting Grassrivers as a natural part of the state rather than a named city or urban district.

Grassrivers first surfaces indirectly in material linked to Vice City. A Vice City travel advertisement on Leftover-vacations.com refers to it, while a Craplist.net post concerns a tourist who takes a crocodile from Vice City's wetland border to Liberty City. It is then named on an educational interpretive sign titled "Energy in the Grassrivers", seen in the September 2022 GTA VI leaks. The sign describes the ecosystem of the region.

Rockstar officially shows Grassrivers in the first GTA VI trailer. Two consecutive shots put the region on screen: an airboat moves across its flooded grasslands, then the view cuts to a large flamboyance of flamingos among multiple alligators. The trailer presents both views in quick succession, showing the waterbound landscape and its wildlife within the same stretch of footage.
