In Grand Theft Auto V and Online, the Tailgater has a broad upper grille edged in chrome, with two horizontal chrome bars and ducts beneath it that contain circular fog lamps. Curved bodywork runs along its sides, while a straight crease links the front and rear wheel-arch bulges. Thin pillars surround the windows, and long D-pillars extend toward the boot.

At the rear, a chrome strip joins the tail lamps above a bumper with a plastic lower section and rectangular exhaust outlets at either side. A secondary paint colour can form a wide stripe over the bonnet, roof and boot, while the interior stitching follows the primary colour. Michael De Santa owns a black Tailgater for most of Grand Theft Auto V, and Jimmy has it modified after Monkey Business.
