Trailer (flatbed)

Trailer (flatbed) is a towable Utility trailer with a medium-sized, twin-axle flatbed. In Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online, rails run along its sides to shield the underside, and its landing gear has two supports. It is lighter and creates less drag than other trailers, allowing a tractor unit to carry it at high speed. Its shorter, narrower frame is less restrictive than the Army Trailer, though sharp bends and confined streets remain difficult.

It has no means of propulsion and is moved by a towing vehicle. The game files list Barracks Semi, Docktug, Hauler, Packer, Phantom and Phantom Wedge as vehicles that can pull it. A person can remain on its bed while it travels, although turns and the trailer's suspension can shift their position. Loose cargo and vehicles do not remain secured on the flatbed, sliding away once it is in motion.

In Grand Theft Auto V, semi trucks haul these trailers along the freeways, and parked examples appear at Terminal and around Elysian Island. Prop versions occupy the same industrial areas. Monkey Business uses one to carry the container holding the chemical weapon, while First Dose 2 - Designated Driver features a supply-loaded trailer for the Fooliganz that The Lost MC destroy. The Trailer (flatbed) is also due to appear in Grand Theft Auto VI.
