In Chuparosa, the protagonist meets Uriah Tollets, who says he needs a package collected from Nosalida. Tollets cannot go himself because the settlement lies amid fighting between the Mexican Army and the rebels. He directs the protagonist to the docks at Nosalida, where the package has been left in a chest.
At Nosalida, the protagonist reaches the dock and takes Tollets's package from the chest. He then rides to El Matadero and hands it to the local foreman. The foreman pays $1,000 for the delivery and sends the protagonist back to Chuparosa with the money for Tollets.
Back in Chuparosa, the protagonist brings the payment to Tollets. He can hand over the $1,000, leaving Tollets with the money, or refuse to do so. If he chooses to keep it, Tollets must be killed before the encounter ends. The meeting concludes in Chuparosa.
Trivia
- โIf one starts this mission as John and finish it with Jack, the dialogue is changed slightly, with Mr. Tollets remarking that "your father was a good man".
- โThe title of the mission is a pun on both the word "poppy", as opium is extracted from a specific type of poppy, and "Poppycock", a slang term for nonsense.
- โMr. Tollets sometimes contains $200 if one doesn't give him the money.
- โIf one kills the foreman, he is still alive in next mission "Love is the Opiate".
