Mother Superior Calderón

Sister Calderón works with Brother Dorkins at the Church of the Holy Blessed Virgin in the Saint Denis slums, teaching local boys to read. Brother Dorkins introduces her to Arthur Morgan, but a boy takes the crucifix that Calderón's mother gave her when she was a novice. Arthur pursues the child and recovers it without harming him, as Calderón asks. When he returns it, she is speaking with a priest and tells Arthur that the crucifix cannot be replaced.

Later, Sister Calderón gathers money and food for Saint Denis residents who are going hungry, and Arthur can contribute to her collection. If he has helped her before, Arthur meets her again at the Saint Denis station as she prepares to leave for Mexico. He admits that he is dying, and she listens without judging him. Calderón offers him comfort before boarding the train for Las Hermanas in Nuevo Paraíso.

By 1911, Calderón is Mother Superior at Las Hermanas. She collects donations for the poor outside the convent when the Strange Man sends John Marston to her. John may give her money or take it from her. Away from the road, Mother Superior Calderón can be found carrying out the convent's daily work and eating inside the church.

In the non-canon Undead Nightmare story, John finds Mother Superior Calderón outside Las Hermanas fighting an Undead. She kills it with a Winchester Repeater and asks him to rescue the nuns inside. After John brings her a recently turned Undead, she tests it with Holy Water, but it returns to its violent state. She gives John the Holy Water after sending him to cleanse Sepulcro, then tells him to travel to Escalera after hearing that Abraham Reyes may be behind the plague.
