All That Glitters

Arthur Morgan meets Máximo Cristóbal Valdespino on the grasslands southwest of Horseshoe Overlook. Máximo presents himself as a celebrated explorer who has come to America in search of treasure, but says he is leaving the country the following day. He offers Arthur a map leading to the gold hidden by the Jack Hall Gang.

Arthur obtains Máximo's map, either by paying the explorer or taking it from him by force. Its first clue leads him to Caliban's Seat, north of their meeting place. He follows the mountain path to a small camp, works down the cliff face beyond it, crosses a gap in the rocks and finds the first map hidden in a crack.

The next map sends Arthur into Ambarino, to Cotorra Springs. He searches around the largest rock at the top of the springs and uncovers another clue. That map points east, towards O'Creagh's Run in Grizzlies East.

At O'Creagh's Run, Arthur swims to the small island in the lake and searches its southern side. Beneath a loose rock on the flat stone face, he finds the Jack Hall Gang's stash: two Gold Bars.
