Notas del jugador
El Good Samaritan es un habitante anónimo de Saint Denis, y no se conoce nada de su vida anterior. Solo aparece cuando Arthur Morgan se encuentra en la ciudad, debilitado ya por la tuberculosis y afectado por violentos ataques de tos. Viste con más elegancia que muchos de los transeúntes: lleva un traje gris oscuro, camisa blanca a rayas, sombrero beige con cinta azul y zapatos cuidados. Tiene el pelo castaño y un bigote de manillar.
Arthur se desploma en Saint Denis en medio de un ataque de tos. El Good Samaritan acude inmediatamente a ayudarlo. Si Arthur ha caído en la calzada, el hombre lo arrastra hasta la acera y lo ayuda a ponerse de pie. Arthur apenas tiene fuerzas para avanzar, y el samaritan espera mientras logra recuperarse. En lugar de dejarlo solo en la calle, permanece junto a él.
El Good Samaritan acompaña a Arthur por Saint Denis hasta la clínica del Doctor Joseph R. Barnes. Se asegura de que Arthur llegue sano y salvo al consultorio y le entrega dinero para pagar el tratamiento. Arthur queda en la clínica, mientras el hombre que lo ha auxiliado se marcha. El Good Samaritan no vuelve a aparecer tras aquel encuentro en Saint Denis.

- ◆If the player has no money during the mission, the Good Samaritan will give $10 to Arthur when entering the clinic.

- ◆In terms of clothing, he wears an outfit similar to Nigel.
- ◆This had led to speculation that perhaps the Good Samaritan is Nigel's long lost friend Gavin due to the similar fashion in which they are dressed, although presumably unlike Gavin, the Samaritan does not have an English accent. This theory has been proven ultimately false as Dan Houser confirmed in an interview that Gavin is a real person but wasn't included in the game at all and the side mission of finding him got scrapped during the game's development.
