David Geddes agradece a John Marston su ayuda contra la Laramie Gang en Pronghorn Ranch, aunque sigue inquieto por esos hombres. John vuelve a casa, cena con Abigail, Jack y Uncle, y se acuesta. Durante la noche lo despiertan unos disparos. Sale en ropa interior y descubre que los Laramies asaltan el rancho, queman edificios y establos, y se llevan el ganado de Geddes.
John encuentra a Tom Dickens bajo ataque y lo ayuda a defenderse de los asaltantes. David llega con Abe y le dice que han matado a uno de sus peones y robado la manada. Le pide a John que recupere el ganado. John regresa a la casa por su cinturón y sus armas. Abigail rechaza que se una a la lucha, pero él cabalga con Tom y Abe hacia Hanging Dog Ranch, en Big Valley.
Cerca de Hanging Dog Ranch, John ordena a Tom que cubra su avance y a Abe que rodee los edificios. Se acerca a los Laramies para enfrentarlos, pero la conversación acaba en un tiroteo. John, Tom y Abe se abren paso por el rancho y matan a los miembros de la banda que lo defienden. Un Laramie grita desde el granero, y John entra a buscarlo.
El líder de la banda embosca a John por detrás dentro del granero. John se defiende a puñetazos, lo derriba y lo mata con el arma del propio hombre. Tras acabar con los rancheros, John regresa con Tom y Abe a Pronghorn Ranch. David le da las gracias otra vez. En la casa, Abigail se enfada porque se ha involucrado, y John sostiene que solo hacía el trabajo que le encargaron. A la mañana siguiente, recuerda un consejo de Arthur Morgan.

- ◆The title is extremely similar to the Red Dead Redemption mission "Landon Ricketts Rides Again"
- ◆The default hat that John wears during this mission is Arthur's hat.
- ◆The scene where John opens the trunk features numerous errors:
- ◆He swings out the Cattleman's cylinder as if it were a swing-loaded gun, which is extremely unlikely for a single action revolver and unlike any other Cattleman in the game.
- ◆Sadie's carbine appears in the trunk instead of John's.
- ◆John's denim vest in the trunk uses an older, darker texture than the one seen in-game.
- ◆If "Fatherhood, For Idiots" wasn't completed before this mission, the line John remembers from Arthur is taken from "The Sheep and the Goats".
- ◆It is possible to save Mr. Tolbert if the player is fast enough to kill the Laramies before they take him out. If this is done he will just be standing there motionless.
- ◆During this mission, the player as John can loot the house at Hanging Dog Ranch and find some valuable items such as: a Gold-Jointed Bracelet, Coin Purse, Lockbox on the second floor with $110.00, and a Cleaver. All the items (except the cleaver) are the same as the ones that can be looted beforehand as Arthur before or during the mission "Mrs. Sadie Adler, Widow II."
- ◆Sometimes, a bug can occur where, when wrestling with the Laramie gang leader, John will get stuck struggling despite repeated mashing of the "break free" prompt. This can easily be fixed by changing the button from "Tap" to "Hold".
