Leopold Strauss
At the camp, Strauss asks Arthur to retrieve money from three debtors that owe him money. Arthur must collect debts from ranch hand Chick Matthews, Polish smallholder farmer Mr. Wróbel, and ranch maid Lilly Millet.

En Horseshoe Overlook, Leopold Strauss incorpora a Arthur Morgan a su negocio de préstamos. Tiene tres cuentas vencidas y quiere que Arthur cobre lo que le deben. Lo envía tras Chick Matthews, en Guthrie Farm, Mr. Wróbel, en Painted Sky, y Lilly Millet, en Emerald Ranch. Arthur sale del campamento para tratar con los deudores y puede seguir cualquiera de las pistas primero.
En Guthrie Farm, Arthur encuentra a Chick Matthews junto a su caballo. Un ranchero le señala quién es Chick, que escapa a caballo en cuanto lo ve. Arthur lo persigue, lo derriba con el lazo y le obliga a revelar dónde está el dinero. Chick le entrega un mapa y dice que escondió el pago en un árbol. Arthur sigue el mapa y recupera el dinero de Strauss.
En Painted Sky, Arthur entra en la pequeña granja de Mr. Wróbel y le exige el dinero. Wróbel apenas habla inglés y no comprende la situación hasta que Arthur menciona a Strauss. Aterrorizado, intenta explicar que no tiene nada. Arthur lo tira al suelo y lo golpea hasta que Wróbel le permite llevarse bienes en pago del préstamo. Arthur registra la casa y toma lo suficiente para saldar la cuenta.
En Emerald Ranch, Arthur encuentra a Lilly Millet discutiendo con Cooper, que ha malgastado su dinero. Lilly no puede pagar a Strauss y mira a Cooper, pero él ataca a Arthur. Arthur gana la pelea, y Lilly le dice que tome el dinero de Cooper. Arthur registra a Cooper y cobra la deuda, mientras impide que un testigo lo denuncie. Curiosidades
- ◆After recovering one of the debts and putting in the donation box at camp, Strauss asks Arthur to retrieve Thomas Downes' loan, initiating "Money Lending and Other Sins III". After doing this, the remainder of the debts collected will become part of "Money Lending and Other Sins II", even though it can be completed chronologically after the events of the third part.
- ◆If the player collects all three debts before returning to Strauss, then he will ask Arthur to visit Thomas Downes, but there will be no more debts to collect for this mission.
- ◆When talking to Strauss after putting one or more of the debts into the donation box, the cutscene can differ slightly in which Arthur's reaction to the stew he is tasting will change based on the state of the camp's food:
- ◆If the camp's food is poor, Arthur spits out the stew in disgust and a notification will appear telling the player to hunt better quality game.
- ◆If the camp's food is average, Arthur will dislike the stew and throw the ladle back into the pot.
- ◆It might take several reloads, but the witness you encounter during Lilly Millet’s encounter may spawn with a Crown Bucket Hat that can be stolen and kept.
- ◆The same witness mentioned above can be robbed for one of the five townsfolk needed in Bandit Challenge I. However, he needs to be stopped and robbed quickly, or if he runs too far from the ranch, the robbery will not count. A better way to ensure you get the "rob" prompt is to rope the witness, cancel, equip fists, and run up and grab him. This may also take several reloads to accomplish .
