Le Sawed-Off Shotgun est un fusil à pompe Shrewsbury dans Grand Theft Auto V, également appelé Sawn-Off Shotgun ou Sawnoff Shotgun. C'est une arme à feu compacte et raccourcie dont le boîtier de culasse et la poignée rappellent le Pump Shotgun. Son canon modifié, son tube magasin et sa pompe le distinguent de cette arme, tout comme sa finition grise, ses organes de visée mécaniques modifiés et l'absence du garde-main thermique, de la crosse arrière et des rails de pompe du Pump Shotgun.
Classé parmi les fusils à pompe, le Sawed-Off Shotgun affiche une puissance de 96, ainsi que de faibles cadences de tir, précision et portée. Il possède les dégâts par plomb les plus élevés de sa catégorie, ce qui le rend particulièrement mortel lorsque plusieurs plombs touchent à courte distance. Sa faible portée le rend moins fiable contre des cibles à moyenne distance, où les armes tirant plus rapidement et les fusils à pompe à plus longue portée ont l'avantage.
L'arme contient un chargeur de dix cartouches et ne peut recevoir aucun accessoire. Elle coûte 800 $. Son format compact permet également son utilisation en drive-by depuis certaines motos. À courte distance, sa dispersion et les dégâts de ses plombs peuvent tuer rapidement des piétons ou des conducteurs et infliger de lourds dégâts aux véhicules.

- ◆As its name implies, the Sawn-Off Shotgun is usually produced by home-made modification of a standard shotgun. In countries where firearms and ammunition are rare due to legal restrictions or high price, criminals are known to convert legal or stolen hunting weapons into concealable weapons, even modifying non-firearm weapons such as air guns.
- ◆However, sawn-off shotguns are not always home-made, as they will be individually produced by factories as well. Also, unlike the sawn-off shotguns portrayed in-game, factory-made examples do not compromise their overall range or effectiveness, and are mostly on par with their full-sized counterparts.
- ◆The weapon also makes an appearance in , and , other games by Rockstar Games.
- ◆In the enhanced version, when viewed in First-Person View, the markings on the gun read "2G Paspe", which could be interpretated as "2 gauge". Theoretically, a 2-gauge shell would require a 2-inch-diameter (51 mm) bore. Weapons like the punt gun have this kind of cartridge. It is probably a developer mistake or that it is supposed to be "12 gauge" (with the "1" apparently hidden by the weapon's bolt/rivet).
- ◆In the original (PS3/Xbox 360) editions of the game, it is possible to use this weapon for drive-bys in a Bus. It is unknown whether this is intentional or the result of a bug, as it is the only large vehicle where this is possible. This feature was removed in the enhanced editions.
- ◆In GTA Online, as part of The Diamond Casino & Resort update, the player can buy the "Is It Quiet?" painting for the Master Penthouse, which depicts a Sawn-Off Shotgun similar to previous renditions, but much realistic. The Swedish text "Detta är inte en hagelgevär" roughly translates to "This is not a shotgun". This is a reference to René Magritte's The Treachery of Images, a painting of a pipe with the text "Ceci n'est pas une pipe", the French for "This is not a pipe".
