Arthur Morgan retrouve Sadie Adler et Dutch van der Linde dans un saloon de Saint Denis après que le gang a appris que Colm O'Driscoll allait être exécuté. Colm a déjà échappé à la pendaison, alors Sadie et Dutch comptent bien assister à l'exécution de la sentence. Ils se déguisent pour l'occasion, Arthur et Dutch se faisant passer pour des policiers tandis que Sadie s'habille en femme de la haute société, puis traversent la ville jusqu'à la potence.
Dans la foule, Dutch repère des hommes qu'il identifie comme des O'Driscolls. Arthur et Dutch en suivent un dans une ruelle et surprennent le plan de sauvetage du gang. Un tireur d'élite O'Driscoll attend sur les toits afin de semer la panique pendant l'exécution. Dutch retourne auprès de Sadie pendant qu'Arthur grimpe pour s'occuper du tireur. Arthur abat le tireur, prend son fusil et observe la potence depuis les hauteurs.
Dutch et Sadie capturent deux O'Driscolls dans la foule tandis que Colm est amené dehors. Voyant que le plan de son gang a échoué, Colm fait face au nœud coulant et est pendu. Sadie tue les deux prisonniers dans un accès de colère, entraînant les O'Driscolls restants dans une fusillade. Depuis le toit, Arthur utilise le fusil pour dégager un passage pendant que Dutch et Sadie combattent en contrebas.
Une fois les O'Driscolls repoussés, Dutch et Sadie quittent Saint Denis en chariot. Arthur jette son uniforme de policier dans une poubelle et retourne à Beaver Hollow. Là, Tilly Jackson lui remet une lettre d'adieu de Mary Linton, ainsi que la bague de Mary et une vieille photographie d'Arthur et Mary.

Anecdotes
- ◆At the end of the mission, Tilly Jackson gives Arthur a goodbye letter from Mary Linton, who gives out two lines that he later recalls during his final ride in "Red Dead Redemption" depending on his Honor: "I see clearly that your world is not a world from which one can escape" (if Arthur's Honor is low), and "There's a good man within you... but he is wrestling with a giant" (if his Honor is high).
- ◆After completion, the outfit Arthur wore prior to this mission may have the police uniform belt on it. This is likely a glitch, as it is not added as a weapon equipment piece.
- ◆It is possible to save the police officer hat. To do so, the player must have an empty slot on the horse and make sure they pick up the hat from the ground after it has been knocked off during the rooftop fight.
- ◆It is also possible to save and keep the rest of the police officer uniform. All the player needs to do is start the mission, wait for the cutscene to end and walk away from Dutch, if done correctly, the player should have the outfit on.
- ◆During the cutscene at the start, Dutch gives Arthur a black police uniform, even though they both wear blue uniforms during the mission.
- ◆After this mission, players will be able to see critical areas on targets while using Dead Eye.
- ◆This mission marks the further deterioration of the relationship between Arthur and Dutch, as Arthur tells him "Practice what you preach, brother," clearly stating Dutch's hypocrisy up to this point in the story, acting out in revenge against his own teachings.
- ◆This mission marks the first and only time Dutch refers to Arthur by only his surname, shouting "Morgan, you hear us? Take a shot on these O'Driscolls!" after Sadie starts shooting.
- ◆If the player approaches the crowd at the hanging, an O'Driscoll will recognize them and a lawman will drop his revolver along with civilians running away which will lead to mission failure.
- ◆Dutch wears the Saint Denis Police Chief hat and gloves instead of a full regular Saint Denis Police Officer uniform.
