Il Boat Trailer è un rimorchio utilitario leggero in Grand Theft Auto V e Grand Theft Auto Online, costruito per trasportare piccole imbarcazioni. Il suo telaio metallico dispone di supporti imbottiti, un singolo asse con ruote coperte, una ruota jockey e un freno nella parte anteriore, nonché luci arancioni sul telaio che non funzionano. Può apparire carico di barche come lo Squalo o il Dinghy, anche se una barca non può essere rimessa sul rimorchio dopo essere stata sganciata.

Viene comunemente trainato da Bobcat XL e Bison nei dintorni di Sandy Shores, di solito senza una barca. Compare anche sulla rampa per barche del Vespucci Helipad, fuori da una casa gialla su Joshua Road tra Harmony e il ponte ferroviario e, più raramente, accanto a un Bison sulla spiaggia di Paleto Bay vicino a The Hen House. Un esemplare con Dinghy può talvolta essere visto nei dintorni di Cypress Flats, mentre un Sandking XL può essere parcheggiato accanto a uno vicino al Del Perro Pier.

Il rimorchio non può essere guidato autonomamente, ma può essere trainato da veicoli tra cui il Bison, il Bobcat XL, il Sadler, l'Insurgent Pick-Up Custom e il Technical Custom. Il suo basso baricentro lo rende agile, anche se può rimbalzare ad alta velocità e sganciarsi sulle colline. Con una barca a bordo, l'assenza di sospensioni può farlo ribaltare in curva. ◆Vehicles.meta indicates that the Seminole, Rancher XL and BeeJay XL were at one point able to tow this trailer, however these vehicles lack the tow hitch dummy to do so. It is also likely the Bodhi and Chernobog were able to tow this trailer, as they feature tow-hitches but lack any trailers in their vehicles.meta trailer data.
◆Sometimes, while playing the Humane Raid - EMP heist setup in GTA Online, Dinghies may spawn on the back of trailers being towed by Bobcat XLs and Sadlers. This seems to be a glitch, as the Dinghies aren't correctly fitted on the trailers, as they cannot fit entirely. However, a special variant of the boat trailer carrying a Dinghy was added in the GTA Online: The Chop Shop update, where it is stolen by the player, who uses the Dinghy to access La'oub Princess in a Salvage Yard Robbery mission.
