Boat Trailer

The Boat Trailer is a light utility trailer in Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online, built to carry small boats. Its metal frame has padded supports, a single axle with covered wheels, a jockey wheel and brake at the front, and orange chassis lights that do not function. It can appear loaded with boats such as the Squalo or Dinghy, though a boat cannot be put back onto the trailer after it has been detached.

It is commonly pulled by Bobcat XLs and Bisons around Sandy Shores, usually without a boat. It also appears on the Vespucci Helipad boat ramp, outside a yellow house on Joshua Road between Harmony and the railroad bridge, and, more rarely, beside a Bison on the Paleto Bay beach near The Hen House. A Dinghy-equipped example can sometimes be seen around Cypress Flats, while a Sandking XL may be parked beside one near Del Perro Pier.

The trailer cannot be driven itself, but can be towed by vehicles including the Bison, Bobcat XL, Sadler, Insurgent Pick-Up Custom and Technical Custom. Its low centre of gravity makes it agile, although it can bounce at speed and may unhitch on hills. With a boat aboard, the lack of suspension can make it tip in corners. It is used to transport boats, and characters can remain standing on a moving loaded trailer without falling off.
