Forklift (HD Universe)

The HVY Forklift is a single-seat Utility light truck, built as a driver-operated industrial counterbalance forklift. Its design draws on forklift trucks such as the Yale GLP060VX, with elements of Samuk and CAT models. In Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online, it keeps the general GTA IV design but loses the HVY decals and wears the rusty finish common to industrial vehicles. It is usually orange, with a red or blue propane tank mounted above the rear engine.

Its front lift is active in GTA V and Online, though it cannot lift cars and requires care when handling crates. The rear-mounted gas canister indicates a gas-powered engine, whose quiet sound carries over from GTA IV, and the engine drives the rear wheels. The Forklift has a stiff low centre of gravity, making it less likely to tip than its earlier version. Its added mass can also leave it lying on its side rather than righting itself.

Forklifts appear around the Port of Los Santos, especially Terminal, and one is parked in Devin Weston's hangar at Los Santos International Airport. They can also turn up near McKenzie Field Hangar, on a dirt road off Grapeseed Main Street north of the Alamo Sea, and at the railyard near Pillbox Hill Medical Center. Online uses them at construction sites in Heist Prep: Cutting Torch, at Cayo Perico's airstrip and during Setup: Acid Lab Equipment. A Forklift can lift an object beside the airstrip loot during The Cayo Perico Heist.
