Docktug

The HVY Docktug is a one-seat Utility tractor trailer truck built for industrial trailer work. Its compact, cab-over layout is based primarily on an American yard tractor used to shift semitrailers around shipping facilities. The body is deliberately uneven, with the cab on the left and the engine housing, mirror frame, horns and beacon occupying the right. A yellow and black ram bar, warning stripes, a trailer platform and six wheels give it the appearance of specialised dock equipment.

The Docktug appears around the warehouses and docks of Elysian Island, and it also turns up near the oil pumps in Banning and at the Murrieta Oil Field. It is occasionally driven around Los Santos International Airport. In Grand Theft Auto Online, it can appear on Elysian Island and is rarely seen on Strawberry Avenue. It does not enter the normal traffic spawn cycle across San Andreas, leaving these industrial areas as its usual territory.

Built for short trailer movements rather than speed, the Docktug accelerates just behind the Phantom and brakes adequately for its smaller frame. Its short wheelbase and six-wheel arrangement make it relatively agile, though it can oversteer at higher speeds. It can connect to container trailers, but their length can make them catch on its rear fittings and strike the truck during turns. It lacks the mass to push most cars aside, while its partially bullet-resistant windows offer the driver limited protection before they break.
