John Marston incontra Jeb Blankenship a Rathskeller Fork. Jeb racconta che il suo amore perduto è stato portato via da dei gangster e chiede a John di cercarlo a Tumbleweed. John accetta l'incarico e cavalca verso sud in direzione dell'insediamento, seguendo l'indizio fino all'area segnata fuori città.
A Tumbleweed, John si occupa degli uomini che occupano l'area, se sono ancora presenti. Trova il cavallo scomparso di Jeb, Lucy, insieme ad Ann Stephenson. Anche Ann è rimasta coinvolta nelle attività dei gangster, e John prende in consegna Lucy mentre Ann lo accompagna nel viaggio di ritorno.
John riporta Lucy a Rathskeller Fork, con Ann che viaggia dietro di lui. Lì, Jeb si riunisce al cavallo che chiama il suo amore. Ann e Lucy restano a Rathskeller Fork mentre John lascia Jeb con Lucy.

- ◆After some time, in a later edition of the newspaper, it is reported that Jeb has married his "love" the horse, and that no friends or family members attended the ceremony.
- ◆The newspaper that announces Jeb's marriage to Lucy reveals that his last name is Blankenship.
- ◆In the Tumbleweed cemetery, there is a tombstone of a woman named Grace Blankenship who died in 1907 and is outlived by "loving husband Jeb". This grave is most assuredly the resting place of Jeb's late wife. Like Billy in "Flowers for a Lady", it is entirely possible that Jeb lost his sanity when his wife died, causing him to fall in love with a horse.

- ◆If one is to save the game after completing this mission, Ann will enter the room next to the safehouse in Rathskeller Fork and stay there unless attacked.
