Il Cat è un gatto domestico americano, Felis catus, in Red Dead Redemption 2. Il suo aspetto si basa su un gatto domestico soriano marrone mackerel. Ogni gatto ha il pelo corto, anche se il gioco presenta varianti di corporatura tozza, media e snella. Sono piccoli animali domestici, non una distinta specie di gatto selvatico.
I gatti vivono nei pressi degli insediamenti e delle fattorie vicine. Strawberry ospita la concentrazione maggiore, mentre altri avvistamenti avvengono a Saint Denis, Valentine, Emerald Ranch, Rhodes, Blackwater Cemetery e Thieves' Landing. La loro presenza attorno a questi luoghi abitati li mantiene vicini a case, cortili e altre zone della città dove ci si aspetterebbe di trovare animali domestici.
