El Gato es un American Domestic Cat, Felis catus, de Red Dead Redemption 2. Su aspecto se basa en un gato doméstico atigrado marrón. Todos tienen pelo corto, aunque el juego incluye variantes de cuerpo robusto, mediano y delgado. Es un animal doméstico pequeño, no una especie independiente de felino salvaje.
Los gatos viven en asentamientos y en las granjas cercanas. Strawberry concentra la mayor cantidad, aunque también aparecen en Saint Denis, Valentine, Emerald Ranch, Rhodes, Blackwater Cemetery y Thieves' Landing. Se mantienen cerca de casas, patios y otras zonas de los pueblos donde es habitual encontrar animales domésticos.
Las distintas complexiones aportan variedad visual dentro de la especie, desde ejemplares robustos hasta otros más delgados. Se puede ver a los gatos cazando ratas y pequeños pájaros cantores. En otras ocasiones, llevan una de esas presas en la boca.
