Arthur Morgan si reca alla Cornwall Kerosene & Tar nelle Heartlands dopo che John Marston gli chiede di procurarsi un carro petrolifero per la rapina al treno che stanno pianificando. Il carro servirà a fermare il treno quando la banda metterà in atto il resto del piano di John.
Ai Heartland Oil Fields, Arthur sottrae un carro petrolifero dal complesso della raffineria. Lo porta fuori dalla Cornwall Kerosene & Tar e si allontana dall'impianto sorvegliato con il carro di cui John ha bisogno per il colpo.
Arthur guida il carro fino a Old Trail Rise e lo lascia in posizione per la rapina al treno. Con il carro petrolifero ad attenderli lì, informa John che è pronto.

- ◆This mission is technically optional. If the player fails to complete the mission in the same day as "Pouring Forth Oil I", John will steal the oil wagon instead and therefore this particular mission will no longer be available.
- ◆There is normally a wagon on its own in Valentine that can be robbed and used for the mission. It is only guarded by a single guard making it easier to steal. It is, however, further away from the drop off point.
- ◆Despite the two wagons at Cornwall Kerosene & Tar being closely guarded, the wagon on the far right is fairly easy to steal if the player jumps over the fence, runs to the wagon, then drives away.
- ◆One must use extreme caution when stealing a wagon as the guards will open fire on Arthur. If too much damage is taken, the wagon will explode, destroying it and killing Arthur, thus failing the mission.
- ◆One safer method for stealing the wagon is to intercept the wagon leaving Valentine, but it may sacrifice the gold medal objective due to the extended amount of time it takes to reach the drop off.
