Ardennes, это крупная порода боевых лошадей в Red Dead Redemption 2, основанная на лошадях из региона Ardennes, расположенного во Франции, Бельгии и Люксембурге. Она относится к числу самых тяжёлых пород в игре. Её отличают массивное телосложение, широкая голова и густые щётки на нижней части ног.
Лошади Ardennes отличаются высоким запасом здоровья и выносливости для своего класса, но уступают или соответствуют среднему уровню по скорости и ускорению. Управление Standard даёт им умеренную поворотливость и отзывчивость, несмотря на массу и габариты. Это боевые лошади, рассчитанные на выносливость и крепость, а не на быстрый ход.
Обычные Ardennes встречаются в мастях Strawberry Roan и Bay Roan, а некоторые масти можно купить. Iron Grey Roan является особым вариантом. Весь 1899 год Bill Williamson ездит на единственном Brown Roan Ardennes, Brown Jack. - ◆All Ardennes including the War Horse can be spawned (even in the Standard Edition of the game) via the cheat code "You are a beast built for war" or "You want something new". The player can save all of them except for the Brown Roan using a glitch that involves the mission "Angelo Bronte, A Man of Honor".
- ◆The Strawberry Roan is a chestnut base roan featuring a star and reverse dappling.
- ◆The Bay Roan is a silver bay with white hair that has not been bleached by the sun, in addition to a star and stripe.
- ◆The Iron Grey Roan is in actuality a blue roan featuring the same face marking as the Bay Roan.
- ◆The Brown Roan is a silver bay roan featuring reverse dappling. It is unclear what the light patches of fur seen on the body represent, though it may be the result of an uneven distribution of the sooty gene.
