Morgan, это очень маленькая верховая лошадь класса Riding в Red Dead Redemption 2, созданная по образцу реальной породы морган. Её отличают компактное телосложение, изящный вид и элегантный аллюр. У неё управление Standard и умеренная отзывчивость, однако небольшой размер даёт ей хорошую ловкость и манёвренность в тесных местах.
Морганы часто встречаются в мире игры и обладают невысокими общими характеристиками. Их здоровье и ускорение слабы, а скорость и выносливость находятся на среднем уровне, поэтому они лучше подходят для недолгих поездок, чем для тяжёлых переходов. Ловкость делает их полезными в густом лесу и на узких горных тропах, несмотря на управление Standard.
Морганов разных мастей можно приручить или украсть в дикой местности, включая Cumberland Forest в New Hanover, окрестности Little Creek River, территорию у Riggs Station в West Elizabeth и весь New Austin. Bay Roan продаётся в конюшнях. Во время "Exit Pursued by a Bruised Ego" Palomino можно купить у Amos Levi Blacksmith & Farrier в Valentine. - ◆Occasionally in Valentine, the player can find Morgans that are larger than usual either in a pen near the stables or being ridden by an NPC dropping off a kill to the Butcher. The player can take these horses for their own, but dying, failing a mission, or leaving the game will reset the size to normal.
- ◆The mission "Exit Pursued by a Bruised Ego" is the only occurrence in Story Mode where a Morgan is available for purchase at the stables.
- ◆Despite the compendium description for the Morgan stating that the Bay Roan can be bought from the stables, this is only true in Red Dead Online and cannot be done in Story Mode.
- ◆While the Flaxen Chestnut is a common horse used by NPCs, they were also chosen to be used as placeholder horses late into development. Because many of these placeholders were never changed, this is by far the most ridden horse in the entire game. It also led to some missions having an unusually high number of them, with "Black Belle" in particular having 15+, "The Delights of Van Horn" having 14+, "Advertising, The New American Art" having 11+, "An Honest Day's Labors" having 20+, and "Icarus and Friends" having 27+ Flaxen Chestnut Morgans throughout the entire mission.
- ◆Morgans are the second shortest horse breed in the game, being just shorter than the Arabian and considerably bigger than the Mule. Like with all horse breeds, their height is a bit shorter but still accurate to the real-world breed at around 14 hands; which would classify them as ponies.
- ◆The Bay Morgan has a star and stripe. This horse shares a texture with roans despite not being a roan, leading to the face and neck being differently colored than the rest of the body.
- ◆The Palomino Morgan has a stripe and a mane and tail that is not sun-bleached. This horse shares a texture with horses that are supposed to have black points, leading to the legs being darker than the rest of the body and the hooves using the same color as the legs.
- ◆The Bay Roan shared a texture with another horse that has socks, leading to subtle brown socks at the bottom of the legs- however, this does not appear to have been intentional.
- ◆The Liver Chestnut Morgan shares a texture with a sooty horse with a star and snip, leading to sooty characteristics across the body despite them not really exhibiting on chestnut horses. The coloring is more similar to that of a bay, although the mane and tail would need to ridiculously sun-bleached in order for it to show up this red. For reasons unknown, the socks were colored red despite socks on a horse never being red.
- ◆The Flaxen Chestnut has four socks and a star and snip, and shares a texture with a bay horse, leading to the legs being black (although, it could be interpreted as a very dark exhibition of liver chestnut). When cleaned off, the hooves are revealed to be a distinct shade of pink; which would be unrealistic.
